Oh, and if you haven't made my honey lavender cookies yet, you must! They are amazing plain or as an ice cream sandwich.
Plus, here's a fun piece of trivia about the origin of saying 'the bees knees' (because really, what the hell does that even mean?): "There's no profound reason to relate bees and knees other than the jaunty-sounding rhyme. In the 1920s it was fashionable to use nonsense terms to denote excellence - 'the bees knees', 'the snake's hips', 'the kipper's knickers', 'the cat's pajamas/whiskers', 'the monkey's eyebrows' and so on. Of these, the bee's knees and the cat's whiskers are the only ones to have stood the test of time." Another word from the 1920's that didn't stick around? 'Pollywoppus.' Such a shame.

Sveika is a Philadelphia-based textile design and screen-printing company, and their Etsy shop is full of lovely little pouches, totes, and napkins. The stencils used to print the fabrics are created using simple yet very cool hand-drawn, original imagery. They then custom mix the environmentally-friendly inks, and print using the traditional technique of hand-pulled screen printing. Voila! A super awesome accessory or home good that suddenly is on my "must have" list for spring.

Geez...talk about a case of naughty blogger syndrome. I haven't posted in 5 days. Eeeek! Hope you had a grand ole' time rummaging through the archives, hehe! ;)
Now, if there is one 'trend' that I have loved ever since their sweeping hems graced the runways, it is the maxi dress. Aside from the splurge-tastic Marc Jacobs striped frock, all of the dresses that made the list are perfectly attainable...and some are on sale just in time for the summer wardrobe revamp! To all the little shrimps out there - don't say you can't rock this trend. You can, I promise! Just go grab your highest wedges (or God forbid, a FLATFORM), some hem tape, and get 'er done. To all the lady giraffes out there, pull those shoulders back and gallop forward with the pride of knowing this is the one trend you can pull off with ease.

I am so inspired by all the blooming flowers and budding trees, so I decided to make a little stationary set featuring the season's finest flora from one of my fave Flickrers, Agence Eureka. The set is a little bit vintage-looking with a whole lot of springtime cheer. Naturally, I just had to share with all of you. Download the note cards and envelope pdf, print a few sets, and send some well wishes to your friends and fam. Enjoy!
