I love having live plants around the house, but it's official: I have the black thumb of death. I just tossed my fave zebra succulent that I bought in San Juan Capistrano, CA after getting engaged. I thought of that super rad green and white zig zag plant as my non-psycho version of the love fern from How To Loose A Guy In 10 Days...and I let it dieeee. I kept it (barely) alive for 7 months, and that is a feat in itself for me, but really....the bottom line is that I just managed to kill a cactus. That takes serious talent and neglect. Anyways, spring is near, little plants are starting to sprout outside our window, and I am in the mood to get my garden on. You can't blame me for trying.
awww you are not the only one with the thumb of death when it comes to having small plants around the house, my plants have a thing for dying on me a few months after I get them... xoxo Olivia
This post makes me sad! I just got back to my dorm room from Spring Break ending and my little potted plant died! It's only about a three inch little plant, it's miniscule, but it added life to my stale little dorm! And it died over break. So upsetting! I'll need to replace it, sigh!
That movie was one of my favorites when it came out! Definitely a good chick flick. I love those gardening tools. I've never really been into that sort of thing, I'm terrible at keeping plants alive!

ReplyDeletegood to know I'm not the only one with a black thumb. If there's a plant, I'll kill it. I try my hardest to keep them alive but to no avail.
ReplyDeleteAwww, how sad! I was out of town last weekend and I prayed that the hubs didn't kill my herb garden. Somehow, it managed to hang on... just barely. :\
