The hubs and I are in Florida for the next week or so visting all the fam living in this balmy peninsula. It is a HUGE understatement to say that I am a bit excited to say sayonara to this cold rain/snow/ice situation in Boston and helllllooooooo to sunshine! In the spirit of the vacation, I  decided to do an Etsy round-up of items that perfectly capture the sand, surf and sun at the beach. No more of those decorative vessels around the house with the purpose of looking pretty and collecting dust...Boston-based Jill Rosenwald designs cool ceramic bowls and accompanying accessories that are as functional as they are gorgeous. Display, serve, or gift....they can do it all. The suzani bowl is particulary awesome, as is the bowl she dubbed "Super Bowl in Outfit pattern, Vapid colorway" (quite the name if I must say so). Valentine's Day may have come and gone, but these underthings from Sweden-based Made By Noemi are too fantastic to not post about. I am seriously smitten with the wearable shapes, gorgeous fabrics, and fun colors. I am not a huge fan of that 'va-va-voom' lingerie that lifts, squishes and squeezes curves into something they are not (Victoria can keep her secret for all I really care). However, I am a huge fan of bralettes and cute underoos, and the "My Darling Magpie" collection fits the bill perfectly.  I am lusting after each and every piece of lingerie from this line....yummy.

OK, CLARIFICATION: NOT ON MY BRAIN!!!! So my dear mom and MIL, you can breath a sigh of relief. Even if I did have babies on the brain, I don't think I would announce that to you over the Internet...sheesh. But you know, Valentine's Day was yesterday and there are a lot of November birthdays (especially in my family) for a reason....eww, mental image. Anyways, in the spirit of the baby boom to come in 9 months, I scanned the Internet and my neighborhood for adorable trinkets for baby as I am betting a million dollars there will be an intense influx of baby worldwide in 9 months.

6. Didymos makes a gorgeous jacquard printed baby sling.
7. Mary Yarns offers knitted hats, baskets, and other photo accessories for baby.
8. Trendy Peas has great prints in her Etsy shop for a nursery.
9. Kiwi Baby, another Boston shop, offers a super cute assortment of furniture, clothing, and more.

What's everyone up to this weekend? I know some chores are in order (LOTS of laundry, cleaning the apt, hanging pics, and all those other unfun things),  squeezing in some quality time with the hubs and fam, and I am obviously planning on jumping around Boston with colorful balloons in tow. Hopefully I won't slip on some ice and face plant into the cobblestone, haaaaa. But really, in all seriousness, I love that photo....it reminds me of Spring, which I am eagerly counting down the days to.

A few days ago, I mentioned that you will be seeing some blogger friends guest posting here on TMT to share their inquisitive eye for style and all things good with you every once in a while. Well, my faboosh readers, I have yet another column that I want to regularly start posting called the "Dressing Room," in which I will find rad interiors and fashion them into cool outfits.  I did my first one a while back, and had a grand ol' time pulling outfit inspiration from such an amazing interior. So without further ado, here is the "Dressing Room" feature #2.

This room is just so cool without being in your face - not a whole lot in there, which I like (def NOT a fan of clutter...but you can't really tell that looking at my apt right now. Le sighhh). I LOVE the texture of the flokati rugs, and that translated nicely into a mongolian fur vest (or should I say gilet?). My eyes were then drawn to the warm and rich floors, which reminded me of a nice buttery leather...shazam, there you have your boot. Wanting to pick up the detail in the wide plank floors, I chose a nice sliced up leather cuff to play with the lines. A coral pillow is a perfect pop of color in an otherwise neutral room, so I threw in a loose-fitting and semi-sheer top for some sass. The triangle necklace is directly influenced by the table pictured on the left side of the photo...and FYI, I have a weird sudden obsession with that necklace and really want it. ;) Layer with a cardi, throw on a pair of perfectly neutral pants, and sweep on blushy pink  eyeshadow....taaaaaaa daaaaaaa, we just tried on a space and are lookin' pretty hot if I must say so.

Honoré Des Prés is a French perfume company with one of the most fantastic packaging designs I have ever seen....all their pretty little scented treats come ready for spritzing in a to-go cup. A perfume from their "We Love NY" collection would be a fab Valentine's Day gift, so start dropping the hints to your special someone now...just take your pick between Love Coco, Les Carottes, or Vamp à NY!

Les Carottes is made with carrot blossom, sweet orange, vanilla, patchouli and iris. Vamp à NY is based on tuberose, with rum and resins. Love Coco is a mix of coconut, vanilla and coriander leaves. I really liked the Vamp à NY and Les Carottes (and NO, you will not end up smelling like a salad)...the Coco was a bit too “island-ish” for my taste. These lovely scents are completely unique and stand apart from so many of the others I have sniffed in the past...definitely not the saccharine-sweet fruity and floral stuff you find in most stores. The best part about these perfumes is how they are mellow but true to the 100% organic ingredients’ naturally yummy scent. While these scents aren’t for every gal out there, I think they definitely worth a shot.

Soft and girly, with lots of sparkles and touchable accents like feathers....that's what I am coveting for Valentine's Day! I would style this up so the bra peeks out from the top, and tuck the top in to the skirt so it is loose and flouncy. J'adore!
