Can this woman do any wrong? Nope, she can't. Everything is too cute for words. Her styling and photography is amazing, and the clothes and accessories are adorable. Three cheers for Emersonmade!

Our bed is without a headboard right now, and I have collected this inspirational assortment of how to glam up a bare-bones bed. I especially love the oversize low-hanging art that acts as a colorful backdrop...I just might try that with our enormous vintage yellow poster (which I still need to get framed, hrmm). Read on for more photos...and apologies for the lack of photo crediting - I can't remember where I found these! :(

Spent countless hours making marbled paper as a kid - still looks just as fun and chic as I remember. Huge thanks to Grace at Design*Sponge and Erica at PS...I Made This for this killer tutorial on how to make a grown-up version of this childhood fave. Seriously, covering lamps in the stuff? GENIUS! Read on for instruction...

A great alternative to the ponytail or topknot I have been wearing non-stop lately. Hanneli posted these photos of models wearing this relaxed and tousled style for the Michael Kors Spring 2011 fashion show in NYC. Very pretty.

Here is how hairstylist Orlando Pita applied this look backstage:
Pita spritzed the hair with lots of Bumble and bumble Surf Spray to add waves and texture. Then he left a chunky section of hair loose in the front and double-knotted the back of the hair, to give an effortless look to it.

Busted out the ol' slow cooker for the first time this past weekend, and 'impressed,' 'psyched' and "HELL YEA!" are definitely some words that John and I were shouting as we prepared dinner with this counter-top wonder. This taco soup was a fiesta of flavors and everyone was invited - plus it is cheap and fairly goof-proof as I managed to find out. I was actually shocked by how yummy it was considering I made some substitutions (black beans instead of chili; turkey instead of beef) and accidentally forgot some of the ingredients (like the water and peppers...oops!). But I will keep on making the recipe like I did this time because why fix something if it ain't broke?
Now, I am no graphic designer and but I do like pretty things. The heinous AllRecipes printout just wasn't cutting it for me, so I designed this Mexican-themed 4x6 recipe card just for you. Open the above jpeg in a new window, click it once to make it full size, and save. Print it out on cardstock, cut it out, and get cooking. If you prefer a PDF, download the recipe card HERE. Vamonos!

Like mother, like daughter...the sleek mid-length layered bobs, heavy eyeliner, and understated glamour. Carine and Julia sit front row at fashion shows around the globe, and I just adore their effortless style. Très chic!

I am currently loving the simple clean architectural lines and neutral palette in this super chic bedroom. Since interiors are as much a personal expression of style as fashion is, I whipped up an outfit inspired by the room and the lucky person who lives there. If you have any fun interiors that you would like me to "style," feel free to shoot me an email!

Ok, I need an intervention...I have been sitting here watching nearly every one of Michelle Phan's make-up tutorials. My eyes are puffy and glazed over, and I don' think there is enough white eyeliner to brighten my peepers up at this point, as she coos in her videos. Her voice is so soothing, and it puts me in a trance that keeps me clicking "next....next.....NEXT." Ahhhhhhhh. While I think most of her tutorials are a bit 'cray-cray' for daytime, her avant-garde looks are great for Halloween. Check out her videos and get some inspiration for yourselves - but if you find yourself getting sucked in too, don't say I didn't warn you.

Came across these adorable (ironic word choice considering the holiday, no?) Halloween cards from Rifle Paper Co. The thing that really got me to *love* them and not like them? The fact that they are all hand painted and those awesome captions on the site.
Plus, they are 25% off until 10/31. Too bad I still have 398490485495849 thank you notes from the wedding to write, otherwise I would definitely be sending these out.
For the wickedly delightful captions, read on...

I found this swoon-worthy status home of Greek interior designer Marilyn Katsaris over on The Style Files. An island vacation home designed by Greek Zege Architects located on Tinos, it is actually made up of two separate houses that have been impeccably joined together to form one perfect paradise retreat.
The simple and clean spaces throughout the home is beautifully done - the architecture and historical details tell the story, and the decor accents it beautifully.
I love the color palette of this home - natural, and inspired by the views from the home. That blue in the bathroom is gorgeous - and that rock formation that looks to be breaking into the wall is a clever way of bringing outside inside.
